Facade Improvement Rebate Program 

The Facade  Improvement Rebate and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Grant program is a pilot program intended to improve the appearance of commercial buildings in designates business areas within the City limits of Eureka, while promoting building security for Eureka businesses through the use of rebates for costs associated with improvements to building exteriors. 

All applicants will be required to meet with Pre-Application Committee who will determine program eligibility. The committee shall include a Eureka Economic Development staff member and a Eureka Police Department PCTED officer.

Economic Development Strategic Plan Public Meeting 

The City of Eureka Economic Development Department is currently updating its Economic Development Strategic Plan. The updated plan will outline critical initiatives and highlight milestone projects and focus areas that will govern economic development staff resourcing for the next five years. An initial draft plan has is being developed with input from many critical community stakeholders, but city staff wants to ensure every interested citizen has an opportunity to learn about, fully consider, and help shape the final document.

On June 22nd at 5:00 p.m., the City of Eureka will host a virtual meeting to share the draft document, answer questions, and seek public input. All citizens and community stakeholders are encouraged to attend. City of Eureka Clarke Plaza Clean Up 

The City has been making big changes over at Clarke Plaza over the past few months, and we are excited to be in the final phases of the project! We have been partnering with Humboldt Bay Fire and collaborating on a design for the plaza, and it’s all coming together. Please consider joining us on June 19th at 9 AM at Clarke Plaza to beautify this space with fresh paint and landscaping. All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves.

We appreciate all volunteers who can help, and we look forward to making this space the best it can be!

Neighborhood Investment Mini Grant 

The City of Eureka has developed a Neighborhood Mini Grant Program. The Purpose of the program is to provide small grant for volunteers to complete projects in their neighborhood. The goal of the program is to help create awareness and enthusiasm for residents while they take ownership of their neighborhood, empowering and engaging our community. The Neighborhood Grant Program will create long term economic and social outcomes for city residents.
